Upwork

As a Lead UX Researcher at Upwork, I was tasked with helping teams leverage the potential of AI. My research launched 2 flagship AI-powered features, steered AI roadmap strategy, and scaled AI innovation into the core Upwork product. How’d I do it?


Alexa Identity

I owned the end-to-end research strategy and execution for Alexa Identity’s ML-driven personalization features. In short, we used biometric data (voice and face recognition) to identify users and deliver tailored experiences.

The technology was rad, but initial user adoption was sluggish. Here’s a case study of how my framework helped turn around customer opt-ins to personalization, and doubled the number of teams building personalized Alexa experiences. Learn more

We identified a critically underserved user persona with huge retention impact…now what? My research and workshops helped product teams across EPD zero in on their biggest opportunities for closing the gap. Here’s how I delivered.


LiquidPlanner

I led our cross-functional team through through discovery and concept validation to hit on a high-value tool for helping functional managers visualize their team's availability. The feature we built became the #1 driver for upgrades to the Enterprise tier, and was used more than all of the other reports in the app combined. How’d we do it? Learn more
